It began with our dogs Willow, a Bichon Frise, Maltese & Havanese mix, and Dilla, a FrenchBo (that’s a French Bulldog and Boston Terrier mix to the uninitiated).

To us, they were already adorable. And then we dressed them in their first costumes…

We can now attest that there is nothing cuter than a dressed-up pup. Whether it is a natty bow tie or cowboy dog costume – complete with hat – there is an outfit for every pooch and the only limit is your imagination.

In the chilly weather there are dog jackets and adorable dog onesies, while Halloween, Christmas or even Take Your Pet to Work Week are the perfect opportunity to let your imagination go wild.

Willow and Dilla love being fussed over as we dress them in their latest outfit and they even enjoy posing for the camera. When we began to post our favorite outfits on Instagram, the response was great. Today @theymademewearit2 is a great community where dog lovers can find their favorite looks and pictures of ultra-stylish pooches.

What started out as a bit of fun for us and our two dogs has developed into a fully-fledged business. Now we have a whole selection of dog-friendly outfits for whatever mood you and your pup are in. Is it a sunny beach day, complete with Hawaiian dog shirt and shades? Or perhaps a cool Aviator dog hat for those travel days!

Some of our favorite looks are fluffy bunny outfits, chef’s whites and crocodile dog costume. Some of our friends even match their outfits with their pooch. After all, they do say dogs look like their owners.
